The rooms are spacious and attractively decorated. There are four twin rooms (with two super single beds in each room) and one family room (with one double bed and one single bed). All rooms have en suite tiled bathrooms with showers (hot and cold water).
Your stay at The Matumau was designed with tropical living in mind: all our interior spaces have beautiful timber floors, full mosquito netting, excellent ventilation and ceiling fans.
The large covered deck even allows visitors who stay at The Matumau to enjoy, in full comfort, the sights and sounds of a tropical downpour (a rather common occurrence in the Gunung Mulu region)!
Early risers can catch stunning views of the sun rising over Gunung Mulu. After your visits into the rainforest you can cool off on the banks of the Melinau River.
